What Are The Taxes Included In The Bill Calculation?
Here are the common taxes included in the LESCO bill estimation:
- FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment): This is the fuel cost for power generation from sources like crude oil.
- FC Surcharge (Financing Cost Surcharge): A charge of 43 Paisa per unit to cover debt servicing payments for Power Holding Private Limited.
- TR Surcharge (Tariff Rationalization Surcharge): This is the adjustment for tariff differences between NEPRA and the GOP, with the government paying subsidies for positive differences and DISCOs paying the GOP for negative differences.
- QTR Tariff Adj / DMC: This quarterly tariff adjustment, appears every three months on your bill.
- Deferred Amount: A bill amount you can pay later without late fees, either in installments or the following month.
- TV Fee: An additional Rs.35 for funding Pakistan TV (PTV).
- GST (General Sales Tax): A 17% tax on the total cost of electricity.
